Office of Chief Staff Attorney

The Office of the Chief Staff Attorney assists the Court by conducting a preliminary review of the cases on the Court’s docket.  Staff attorneys review case records and pleadings, conduct legal research, and draft recommendations for the Judges to assist in resolving cases.  Their work encompasses both substantive and procedural issues in civil, criminal, and original jurisdiction cases.

The Staff Attorneys are not permitted to engage in the outside practice of law.  Therefore, Staff Attorneys cannot provide legal advice to litigants with cases pending before the Court or other persons seeking legal assistance about their specific cases or legal questions.
