| Court Appointed Counsel Application Attorneys licensed in Virginia can use this form to indicate their interest in receiving court appointments from the Court of Appeals of Virginia. This form is only for appellate work and for appeals in which the Court requires counsel appointed specifically by this Court. After the form is submitted, the Court will contact the applicant to assign cases as needed. This form does not apply to circuit courts or the Supreme Court of Virginia. |

| Petition for a Writ of Actual Innocence Packet with Instructions A petition for a writ of actual innocence based on nonbiological evidence is a claim of innocence by a person who has been convicted of a felony, who is actually innocent of the crime, and who can provide this Court with new nonbiological evidence, or a combination of biological and nonbiological evidence, proving their innocence. (Petitions for writ of actual innocence with only biological evidence should be directed to the Supreme Court of Virginia.) |
